Launched in 1964, the Jurjevanje in Bela krajina is the oldest folklore festival in Slovenia. It is held in the town Črnomelj in the southern region of Slovenia. Next to featuring folklore groups from Bela krajina, the festival presents the best Slovene folklore groups and also international groups as well as individual folk musicians and signers. Festival is accompanied by exhibitions, book presentations, folk music concerts and culinary events.

Jurjevanje is a dance, music and song festival performed on traditional Bela Krajina "tamburica" instruments, "brač", "berda", "bisernica", "bugarija", "gudalo", "white birch leaf", "rug" and some other traditional instruments. The dances, songs and music performed by local folklore groups date between the end of 19th and the beginning of the 20th century.

Jurjevanje is also a national CIOFF member.
