In recent years the Vesna Award for the Best Picture (i.e., full-length film) went to Children from Petriček Hill [Otroci s Petrička] (2007) directed by Miran Zupanič, Landscape No. 2 [Pokrajina št. 2] (2008) directed by Vinko Möderndorfer and 9:06 (2009) by Igor Šterk.
