Dance Studio Intakt, a studio for contemporary dance, was established in 1987 by Matjaž Farič, Jasna Knez, and Vesna Lavrač, among others. Its aim is to promote contemporary dance and offer quality contemporary dance education especially to the young. Numerous Slovene contemporary dancers have studied at the studio, which rounds up its regular dance programmes with an annual final production.

Programme

Since its beginnings, Dance Studio Intakt has offered a programme of open-classes that covers numerous modern and contemporary dance techniques and encourages dance creativity through classes and workshops, held by Slovene professional dancers and choreographers (such as Tanja Skok, Igor Sviderski, Matej Kejžar, Nataša Tovirac, Jasna Knez, etc.) and also by internationally renowned pedagogues. Besides contemporary techniques, the studio also offers classes in African dance, yoga, and ballet. Studio Intakt also organises intensive workshops for the young together with the Public Fund for Cultural Activities of the Republic of Slovenia as well as offers a regular dance programme for children from 4 years of age. The studio's final production is presented at the Dance Theatre Ljubljana.
