Nikki Louder is a noise rock trio from Kamnik, comprised of Blaž Sever on guitar and vocals, and brothers Luka and Peter Cerar on drums and on bass and synth, respectively. Since their formation in 2007, they have been actively present in the Slovene alternative scene, both with releasing albums and performing. They could be labelled as a music equivalent of the fast and furious driving of 3-time Formula One World Champion, Niki Lauda.

Their sound is abrasive noise, sometimes rhythmical and slow, at other times messy, chaotic, and furiously fast. Their live performances correlate with all of the aforesaid adjectives, but are enhanced with loud and energetic aggression. Seeing the frenetic drumming of their drummer might give one the association of a little boy doing his very best at drumming, and succeeding. The vocalist sings mostly in a screaming manner, letting out his raucous and mostly incomprehensible shriek and at the same time almost torturing his guitar. Meanwhile, the bassist attentively and rhythmically accompanies all the action.

Discography and live performances

When they were formed in 2007, they already started performing and recording their début, 5-track EP Silent Bird, which was self-released in 2008. The same year they were selected among the new perspective music acts on Club Marathon, organised by Radio Študent, and since then have been one of Radio Študent's household names. They recorded new songs at the station and in 2009 released their first full-length album, Alain, I'm sorry for Radio Študent Records and Cheap Tunes Records. In 2011, as a collaboration between Moonlee Records, Cheap Tunes Records and ZARŠ Records, their second full-length album Our World Died Yesterday was released. Their third album was as well released by Moonlee Records and ZARŠ Records. It is called Golden Men.

They have toured Europe, from the Balkans up to the UK. So far they have mainly performed in small clubs, with an exception of a few larger events and summer festivals, such as a tribute to Nirvana's Nevermind 20th anniversary in Ljubljana, Moonleejada, Trnje Festival, Trnfest, Kamfest, and the independent hardcore festival Fluff Fest in the Czech Republic.

The band members are associated with two underground music collectives, Cheap Tunes Records and Rnka Rnka, a concert booking team.
