Established in 2008, Love Festival was a literary festival that took place at one of the castles of Northeast Slovenia. KIBLA Multimedia Centre, the institution organising the event, invited both established and up-and-coming Slovene and foreign authors to present their work with readings, talks, round table discussions, and at literary breakfasts.
The literary part of the programme was accompanied by a slew of activities, including musical performances, exhibitions, visual projections, various workshops, puppet shows, etc. Part of the festival’s activities was also aimed at younger audiences.
Collaborating with Pavelhaus in Austrian Styria, which delivers the introductory programme of the Love Festival a week before the official start, the festival represented an important cultural link between the two countries.
