Likewise the Cankarjev dom Gallery (CD Gallery) also the exhibitions in the Small Gallery often correspond to multimedia events and festivals of the main Cankarjev dom programme. Within the Armenia Close Up Festival in spring 2010 the Small gallery featured the exhibition of Armenian photographer Ruben Mangasaryan, the editor-in-chief of the National Geographic Traveler Armenia. Further, as part of the Mexico in Ljubljana Festival (Summer 2009) Dušan Arzenšek, director and photography editor of Le Monde diplomatique in Slovenian, exhibited his photographic explorations of the Maya pyramids.
Although focused on Slovene authors, the space stages occasionally also the work of foreign photographers as in January 2010 when the works of the key figure of Croatian photography Petar Dabac were exhibited.
