Programme
The Tartini String Quartet prepares the concert series Evenings of Chamber Music in Ljubljana. Within the three year (2005–2007) cycle, the quartet performed all the quartets of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Ludwig van Beethoven. The quartet complements its standard concert programme with the opus of lesser-known composers, and performs string quartets by Slovene composers. Its 6 CDs include works by Dvorak, Ravel, Mozart, Schubert, Chausson and others.
The members of the quartet have collaborated with Slovene and international artists such as Irena Grafenauer, Mate Bekavac, Lovro Pogorelić, Gauthier Capuçon, Maria Graf, Radovan Vlatković, Gary Karr and others.
The Tartini String Quartet has received the Prešeren Award for its contribution to Slovene music.
