The [[Slovene Puppetry Biennial]] was launched in [[established::2001]] by the [[Puppetry Creators Institute (ULU)]] in place of the earlier puppetry festival, Klemenčič's Days. Featuring both major puppetry institutions and small puppetry groups from Slovenia, it includes small- and large-scale performances aimed at an adult audience, several based on classic literary texts. An expert jury confers the [[Slovene Puppetry Biennial Prizes]].
