Work
In 2009 the Kabinet 01 made a redesign of the Oktober fashion studio brand identity, web site, and other visual applications to best suit the new made–to–measure line Oktober Sartoriale. The previous work for Oktober resulted in many awards. In 2009 the new identity of the Chamber of Architecture and Spatial Planning of Slovenia (ZAPS) was also conceived.
One of the major contributions of the studio is a range of design for the Slovenian sports-footwear producer Alpina. Product graphics for a series of racing shoes was awarded the Red Dot Design Award in 2008. In 2009 the studio created the product graphic and styling for an entire winter collection of Alpine and cross-country ski boots. In addition they also designed a product catalogue, and a stand at the world's biggest sports fair, Munich's ISPO.
Publication design includes the 9+1 book of interiors designed by architect Primož Jeza; a series of product catalogues for Lara Bohinc jewellery; Lightwear, a catalogue accompanying the exhibition of the Arcadia lighting objects that took place at the Stara Elektrarna - Old Power Station in 2006; and the design of the lifestyle magazine Flash.
Awards
As a result of the combined efforts of the design studio Kabinet 01, the industrial designer Jure Miklavc, and the head of the development of Nordic ski boots Robert Križnar, Alpina Nordic racing boots received the distinguished Red Dot Design Award in 2008. Product graphics and styling for the Ct Alpina line won the BIO Gold Medal in 2003.
In 2004 a design for the Oktober Studio won a Silver medal at the Slovene Advertising Festival (SOF), and was rated among finalists at the Golden Drum Advertising Festival. The website for the studio received a silver medal Netko, bestowed by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (GZS) for the best web design. Both a Silver medal and a Gold medal were granted to Kabinet 01 at the Slovene Advertising Festival (SOF) in 2007 for a business gift of the Gorenje Pininfarina company.
