ItalyGoriziaCultural Centre Lojze BratužFirst Slovenian comedy play: "The Mayor's Micka" by Anton Tomaž Linhart, directed by Vito Taufer with costumes by Alan Hranitelj and music score by Ilija Ota. Produced by Slovene Permanent Theatre in Trieste. Linhart's adaptation of the 1789 comedy is set in the 1950s, the production uses multilingualism and diverse characters to highlight the Mediterranean cultural environment, while preserving Linhart's witty writing, which remains relevant and lively even today. -
