Cultural Contact Point Slovenia (CCP Slovenia) is the national information office for the Culture Programme of the European Commission's Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), the programme supporting international arts and cultural projects with a European dimension (previously called Culture 2000 and Culture 2007–2013).
Established in 2002 within the SCCA-Ljubljana Centre for Contemporary Arts, CCP Slovenia is supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia and the Directorate-General for Education and Culture of the European Commission.
CCP Slovenia is responsible for the promotion of the EU Culture Programme on the national level, and for the dissemination and exchange of information related to the implementation of the programme; it provides assistance in searching for partner organisations and offers technical support for users. CCP Slovenia organises seminars and workshops throughout Slovenia and maintains a website (including a database of supported projects featuring Slovene producers since 2000).
CCP Slovenia also conceives topical public events regarding the EU cultural policy and funding opportunities. In 2009 it organised an international forum with guest presenters on the topic Culture and Structural Funds? in order to emphasise the importance of culture while implementing the European cohesion policy.
In 2010 they have organized series of events SCCA/SERVIS in cooperation with Artservis and ALF Contact point. Heads of the programmes set up a working environment in the gallery, where they performed their everyday tasks, provided information and consultancy in person and via web, and organized workshops, discussions and presentations, with two international panel discussions as highlights.
Apart from its basic activity (facilitating partner searches for the participation in the Culture Programme) CCP Slovenia actively participates in the CCP Network. In the frame of the Slovene EU presidency in 2008 it organised the international conference Re-network! on rethinking the concept of networking in culture.
