The Metlika Commandery, a one-time residence of the knights of the Teutonic Order, now an old people's home. It was built in the early 14th century.
The building of the Miners' Theatre in Idrija was built in the 1770s, it is considered the oldest theatre building in Slovenia. Its construction was financed from voluntary contributions by the mercury mine employees. In the 20th C. it was turned into a cinema hall, Film Theatre Idrija.
