Background
In 2012 the Embassy of Slovenia in Dublin was closed by the Government of the Republic of Slovenia due to economic crisis. In the period 2012–2020, diplomatic representation of Slovenia for Ireland was assumed by the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia London, based on the consent of the Irish Government.
