Established in 2001, this Slovene film production and distribution house took the name of one of the largest Slovene film enterprises of the post-war years, which was dissolved in the 1960s. The "new" Triglav Film has produced Janez Lapajne's feature films Šelestenje [Rustling] (2004), Kratki stiki [Short Circuits] (2006), and Osebna prtljaga [Personal Baggage] (2009). In 2004 the production house established the PoEtika Film School, an annual training and research programme in the art of film directing.

In 2013 Triglav film produced award-winning Razredni sovražnik [Class enemy] (FEDORA Award, Venice Film Festival 2013, 2014 LUX Prize Audience Mention) by young film director Rok Biček.
