Established in 1992, [[A-Atalanta]] Ltd is an independent film, video and TV production company based in Ljubljana. Owner and president Branislav Srdić manages the company in tandem with sister companies in the former Yugoslavia (Croatia, Serbia, Monte Negro, Macedonia). A-Atalanta launched its feature film productions in 1996 with Čamčatka ('Melitta'), a TV film directed by Mitja Novljan. Its short film A Short Hymn to the Home Country (1999), directed by Boris Palčič, won the award for best short film at the International Film Festival in Gava, Spain and at the International Film and Video Festival in Tebessa, Algier, both in 2001. In 2000 the studio produced the feature film Lesi Returns (2000) by Jan Zakonjšek. The short film The Last Wish by Petar Pašić was screened at the 6th Festival of Slovene Film in 2003.
