By and large, dance producers in Slovenia comprise independent artist-established private organisations, who work closely with festival organisers and various venues to present new contemporary dance works on Slovenian stages. Of the producers below, only a few – Bunker Institute, Dance Theatre Ljubljana and En-Knap Productions in Ljubljana, Celje Dance Forum and Plesna izba - Maribor Dance Room – also have their own venues, making them important co-producers.
Among the larger, public institutions who also produce and present dance we find Kino Šiška Centre for Urban Culture, Slovene National Theatre Maribor, Slovene National Theatre Opera and Ballet Ljubljana.
Many dance producers are also engaged in organising courses and workshops and publishing.
